Read and translate sentences that contrast the Perfect and the Imperfect, negate the Imperfect with لَا "not," and use الْآنَ "now." New nouns: school, table, chair and bench.
Why do words end with “-un”?
The -un ending is called tanween (nunation). It marks indefinite nouns — similar to “a/an” in English.
To find the base word, simply remove the final “-un” sound (the double-stacked damma بٌ on the last letter).

مَنْ يَكْتُبُ وَمَنْ يَرْسُمُ؟ أَخِي يَكْتُبُ وَأُخْتِي تَرْسُمُ
هُمْ كَتَبُوا وَأَنْتُمْ مَا كَتَبْتُمْ
هُمْ يَكْتُبُونَ وَأَنْتُمْ لَا تَكْتُبُونَ
هُنَّ شَرِبْنَ وَأَنْتُنَّ مَا شَرِبْتُنَّ

أَيْنَ أَخِي أَحْمَدُ؟ هُوَ فِي مَدْرَسَتِي
أُخْتِي فَاطِمَةُ أَكْبَرُ مِنِّي وَأَنَا أَكْبَرُ مِنْكَ
مَنْ فَتَحَ كِتَابِي؟ أَنَا مَا فَتَحْتُهُ. فَتَحَهُ تِلْمِيذُكَ شَاكِرٌ
